The Backstory:
After realising that jewellery was her calling, Anissa Kermiche turned her back on a career in engineering, moved from Paris to London, trained at Central St Martins, got experience in Hatton Garden, and launched her eponymous brand in 2016.

Founder Anissa Kermiche

Her infamous ‘Paniers Dores’ earrings which were inspired by a dinner table strewn with leftover fortune cookies caught the attention of the fashion elite such as journalist and stylist Pandora Sykes, influencer Camille Charriere and brand consultant Katherine Ormerod and her following grew from there.

Drawing inspiration from architecture, interiors, art and her own travels, Kermiche translates this into designs that are modern, sculptural and fun made for strong, empowered women. Often using the femininity and the female form as a subject matter, represented through circles and also in the more literal sense as seen in the infamous Body Language collection which included pieces such as ‘Rubies Boobies’ ‘Precieux Pubis’ and ‘Le Derriere’ using precious stones to replace nipples and body hair.

For Spring Summer 18, Kermiche collaborated with womenswear designer Rejina Pyo to create a capsule collection for Pyo’s much anticipated runway show. The collaboration featured delicate pearl and gold mobiles adorned on ears and wrists, statement oversized earrings in face profile silhouettes and asymmetric discs inspired by the architect Bertoia.

Kermiche’s new collections bring together considered combinations of onyx, diamonds and pearls in delicate chokers, rings and ear cuffs making fine jewellery wearable for every day.

Not one to confine herself to one medium, Kermiche has also applied her design sensibility to objects, from jewellery stands to vases. Below, the Love Handles Vase and Mobile Stand. (images sourced from
